Tissington Hall is open on certain days, and the Tissington trail is a famous bike ride too. There is a local website here http://www.derbyshire-peakdistrict.co.uk/tissington.htm

Tissington is a small traditional village 3 miles north of Ashbourne on the A515 Buxton road. Carr Barn is the first drive on the right when taking the northern turning into Tissington.

Approaching from Ashbourne, you pass under the new green bridge after fenny Bentley, ignore the first stone gated turning signposted Tissington Village and continue 1/4 mile uphill to next right turn on a bend.

Approaching from Buxton, you pass turnings for Alstonefield and continue just under 2 miles. After long straight section there is a right bend, the left turning is on this bend.
