paint your own wellies
Fantastic child safe paints to
decorate wellies old and new!!! Are you off to a festival, or
dressing up and want the best possible footwear to match? This is what you
should do. Paint your own wellies.

Now - how long will they last I hear
you ask? Well we have done loads of research - and I mean loads.
There are about 27 pairs of half useful wellies in the district. We have
found a paint combination that gives us the best of both worlds. It is
waterproof, won't crack or fade but it will rub or scrub off. That means
if you get them muddy, and clean them with a brush it will also rub off the
paint. But hey - they look cool as they get a bit shabby. Then when
you get really fed up of them, just scrub off the whole lot with a shoe
cleaner spray and do them all over again.
The painting couldn't be simpler.
The colours are mostly ink paint in a handy marker pen format. They are
low xylene or xylene free. The glitter tips and brush pens allow the fine
lines you see on the pictures here. They dry almost instantly so can be
worked on continuously. They do not drip or run and it is almost
impossible to apply too much. The paints keep well if stored and can be used
many times. We did 7 pairs of wellies with 3 base colours and 3 decorating
colours. You need to order as many colours as you want variety rather than
thinking they will run out.

Tissington is a small traditional
village 3 miles north of Ashbourne on the A515 Buxton road. Carr Barn is the
first drive on the right when taking the northern turning into Tissington.
Approaching from Ashbourne, you pass
under the new green bridge after Fenny Bentley, ignore the first
stone gated turning signposted Tissington Village and
continue 1/4 mile uphill to next right turn on a
bend.
Approaching from
Buxton, you pass turnings for Alstonefield and continue just
under 2 miles. After long
straight section there is a right bend, the left turning is on this bend.
You see the back of Carr Barn on the
right in 25 yards. Open the gate and drive in.
Please park with consideration.
